Once a humble backyard game, pickleball has skyrocketed to fame as one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, captivating young adventurers everywhere. Imagine combining elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis on a mini court with a quirky history linked to a dog named Pickles or perhaps a rowing term. The game is super accessible and socially engaging, offering a full-body workout that's perfect for all ages. Schools and youth programs are jumping on the pickleball bandwagon, and its rise to professional levels has garnered media attention and international expansion. So, grab a paddle and join the pickleball craze—it's not just a game; it's an adventure!
In this spirit of inclusivity and community engagement, the Opelika Pickleball Club is reaching out to the youth of our community and surrounding areas to introduce the sport of pickleball. We are proud to have a dedicated USA Pickleball Ambassador, Ms. Rhonda Totten, who is committed, alongside our club, to educating our youth about the sport, teaching the basics, and actively involving them in playing the game. We are providing paddles, instructions, and court time—all you need to do as a youth, or a parent/guardian of a youth is to show up and get involved.
Don't forget your water bottle!
